Peaceful and relaxing

Relaxing canal holidays

What have we got to offer you?

Why not swap the hussle and bussle of everyday life for a more tranquil, peaceful and altogether relaxed way of life, if just for a short time. That's what we can offer you.

Countryside Cruising Holidays offers you a choice of cruising options on our 70 foot, 8 -10 berth narrowboat fitted out to a high standard with very comfortable accommodation providing excellent value for money. Hire our narrowboat for a week or short break. 'Lazy Days' is based in the village of Endon, on the unspoilt, quiet Caldon Canal - ideal for a quiet break, or if you want to travel further afield, then venture onto the Trent and Mersey Canal with its junction at Stoke-on-Trent
Our prices are fully inclusive so you don't pay extra for fuel, bed linen or towels.

Wake up on the water

Waking up on the water is restful and takes you back in time when speed was measured on how fast the horse could pull the narrowboat. Horses have been replaced by engines, but the way of life has remained at a sedate pace; nature is on your doorstep. Spotting coots, moorhens and herons is just one of the many delights on the canal.

Go boating on the inland waterways for weeks and short breaks There are a choice of cruise options from one week or more to short breaks of just 2 days aboard the luxury narrowboat 'Lazy Days'. All maps will be provided for use on your voyage and for suggested list of available routes, please click on our Routes page.

Cruising at about 3 -4 miles per hour really does slow the pace down. Don't worry if this is your maiden voyage as instructions on how to steer and manage the boat, to how to operate the locks will be given to you on arrival. You don't even have to worry about your pets - bring them along - we welcome well-behaved pets.

'Lazy Days' will be fully equipped for your adventure. All you need to bring is yourselves and food - unless you decide to sample all the food and drink from canal side pubs and restaurants, after all, you're on holiday!

A boating break is ideal for getting a group of friends together for a hen or stag weekend, or celebrate that extra special anniversary or birthday with the family or friends. Bring the grandparents along, the children will love it - it's an ideal short break choice for all ages.
